What is Physical Therapy?

Physical Therapy is a field of rehabilitation that focuses on optimizing the way that people move, either in response to an injury or disease or as a form of prevention. Our profession is committed to utilizing current research and evidence to promote healthy movement through exercise prescription, skilled manual interventions, and therapeutic modalities. We strive to help each individual, participate in the activities that they love, whether it includes walking, playing soccer, or popping a wheelie in your wheelchair! Physical therapy is an essential component to a healthy, lively society.
