Rachel Clinton

Speech Therapy

Rachel completed her undergraduate studies at California State University, Fullerton, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Chapman University. During graduate school, Rachel gained clinical experience working with clients across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including public schools, private practices, and Chapman’s Adult Learning Lab. As a graduate clinician, she also collaborated with Physical Therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy graduate students, treating individuals with primary progressive aphasia, Parkinson’s disease, and cognitive-communication disorders.

Rachel has been actively involved in the field of Speech-Language Pathology for over four years. During both her undergraduate and graduate programs, she volunteered at the Brain Rehabilitation and Injury Network (B.R.A.I.N.), where she supported individuals with aphasia, apraxia, dysphagia, dysarthria, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and more.

Rachel is a certified SPEAK OUT!® provider through the Parkinson Voice Project and has been leading and volunteering in Parkinson’s speech therapy groups since 2024. She is passionate about providing personalized, evidence-based care that supports meaningful, functional communication.

Rachel is local to Long Beach and grew up nearby in Cerritos. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new coffee shops and restaurants, playing golf, and traveling around the West Coast.
