Piper Asten is Southern California born and raised, growing up in Hermosa Beach and spending much of her time in pools and at the beach. While volunteering in high school, she discovered her love for the allied health professions, volunteering in long-term care facilities for adults with disabilities, as well as in pediatric outpatient clinics in her area.

She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at San Francisco State University and jumped straight into the graduate program for occupational therapy at California State University Dominguez Hills. As a student in the OT program, Piper was highly involved, leading student advocacy boards and representing students at faculty meetings. She began obtaining clinic experience across a broad scope of settings, including acute care, pediatrics, community-based, and finally, as a student at Precision Rehabilitation working in neurologic care.

Following graduation in the Spring of 2022, Piper worked for a short period of time in pediatric care, but always felt driven to return to neurologic care, and specifically to Precision Rehab! She has been with Precision Rehab as a full-time clinician since 2023, and works with both neurologic and orthopedic patients, helping them return to their most meaningful roles and activities to support overall independence, well-being, and quality of life.

Outside of Precision, Piper enjoys spending time with her family and friends (especially her puppy, Rosemary, and bunny, Basil), seeing live music, collecting records, and most recently completing home reno projects!
