About
Kianna started her career at California State University Long Beach, graduating with a B.S. in Healthcare Administration in 2021. While studying for her undergraduate degree, she obtained clinical experience through the local adapted kinesiology program at Orange Coast College and at her high school, volunteering with the athletic training department, while actively competing as a student athlete. During this time, she also lead a youth jiu jitsu anti-bullying/self defense program for students with disabilities and had worked as an OT/PT aide in outpatient orthopedics for several years.
She completed her post-graduate degree at Stanbridge University located in Irvine CA, where she earned her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2024. While at Stanbridge, she completed graduate research in improving self-efficacy amongst gym staff at Sender One Climbing, to increase youth participation in rock climbing for children with disabilities. Kianna is also an active member of Life Rolls On Foundation, bringing adaptive surfing to the community, in support of the 'They will surf again' mission. In her clinical rotations, she gained valuable experience at Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Center's brain injury team with various neurological, orthopedic and psychological conditions that expanded her passion for neurological occupational therapy.
Following graduation, she was awarded as the Jiu Jitsu World League 65kg Pan American Champion at the Long Beach Arena. Simultaneously, she created the first occupational/physical therapy aide workshop for incoming students/rehab aides at her local outpatient orthopedic clinic that simulated graduate level practical examinations to improve patient outcomes and rehab aide self-efficacy. When not at Precision, Kianna enjoys time with friends and family, travel, surfing, jiu jitsu, cooking, volleyball and performing live music!
