Precision Rehabilitation’s Neurological Physical Therapy Residency Program

Residency Mission

The mission of the Precision Rehabilitation Residency in Neurologic Physical Therapy is to mentor and mold physical therapists to embody professionalism and deliver patient-centered care through scholarship, teaching and advancement of the profession as they master the identification of movement dysfunction and provide the best available treatments grounded in the most current, evidence-based research for the neurological physical therapy population.

Residency Details

Application deadline: April 1st
1 Year commitment (August 1st-July 31st)
Tuition: $2,600 for Neuroconsortium
Residents will be paid for 20 hours per week of patient care. In addition, residents will also be provided a teaching stipend from Mount St.Mary’s University.

Residency Components/Curriculum

  • Direct Patient Care (20 hrs/week)
  • Mentored Patient Care (4 hrs/week)
  • Teaching Assistant position at Mount Saint Mary’s University (MSMU) (~8 hrs/week)
  • MD Rounds with local specialists (4 hrs/1-2x/month)
  • Interdisciplinary rounds with Orthotist/ Prosthetist/speech therapist/occupational therapist
  • Formal Research Opportunities in conjunction with MSMU (4hrs/week)
